The Lake Mahopac Park District Advisory Board is a group of individuals, appointed by the Carmel Town Board, to advise the board on issues that pertain to the health and safety of the lake. The Advisory Board's activities include the monitoring of the lake level and water quality, liaisoning with the Carmel Police, the Putnam County Sheriff's Marine Patrol and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. In addition, the board coordinates with surrounding Lakes associations, the NY Federation of Lake Associations (NYFOLA), the NY Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the Putnam Department of Health and the NY Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
Public meetings 1st Monday of March, May, July and November unless there is another COVID restriction. If you need to inform us or have something that needs to be addressed with the advisory board, please use CONTACT US.
